"It is amazing how much this little pouch can hold. Just like Doctor Who's Tardis, it is 'bigger on the inside.' It is obviously well made and purposefully designed."
— Jeff M., Mini Venture Pouch
"Ruggedness, storage and versatility pretty much sums up this journal. If you're looking to maximize and only bring 1 journal everywhere, this is it.”
— Manuel R., Voyager Journal
“It holds a surprising amount while remaining nicely compact. The canvas, while sturdy, is soft and pliable — I'm confident I'll get many years of use from it.”
— Yvonne , Venture Pouch
What customers are saying
Any questions?
What's in the Outdoorsman Dad Kit?
The kit includes the Voyager Journal, a TN-size field journal in water-resistant waxed canvas with a pen loop, card pockets, and an aluminum hook closure. The Venture Pouch is a dual-sided zippered organizer — elastic loops on one side, divided pockets on the other — with D-rings for strap attachment. The Mini Venture Pouch is the compact version: same dual-sided layout, fits any pack pocket or clips to a belt loop. All three are waxed canvas with honeycomb ripstop nylon interiors.
Who is this kit for?
The dad with a permanent go-bag in his truck. Fisherman, hunter, camper, weekender, ex-military, or just a guy who refuses to be unprepared.
Is the waxed canvas actually waterproof?
Water-resistant. Light rain, splashes, and dew bead off the canvas. It's not meant to be submerged. The interior is ripstop nylon, so even if water gets through, the contents stay protected from snags and abrasion.
What can the Venture Pouch and Mini Venture Pouch actually hold?
Customers use the Venture Pouch for trail tools, fishing gear, fire-starting kits, EDC items— anything that needs to be grabbed fast without digging. The Mini VP handles the smaller stuff: a multitool, a lighter, a few pens, loose items that usually rattle around the bottom of the pack. The elastic loops on both keep things upright and visible. The divided pockets separate tools from writing gear cleanly.
